What’s in a Security Door?

Security DoorA door is more than just an entrance to your home. This moving structure can be customised to suit your needs as well as offer superior protection. Security doors consist of extensive engineering and structurally sound metals that are difficult to puncture. If you are thinking of having a security door installed, now is a good time to do so.

Here’s some more information about what makes our range special.

Our Security Doors

At Kings Security Doors, we work hard to ensure our clients are getting the best protection for their home. As a leading security door installer, we have many styles and colours to choose from. In fact, we can manufacture a door based on a client’s specific measurements.

Made from BlueScope steel, our security doors are as strong as they are durable. Our range of security doors includes:

Security Steel Doors

BlueScope steel is by far one of Australia’s greatest metals. With its 5 layers of heat resistance and protection, all their products are guaranteed to last. To further enhance BlueScope’s security capabilities, our doors are fitted with quality locks and handles. The brands we use include:

– Delf
– Lockwood
– Jackson

These brands have been helping our clients keep their doors locked and secure for more than 20 years. The final layer of protection on our steel doors is the powder coating we apply. Using either Dulux or Interpon, the powder coating helps protect the metal from scratching.

King Safe Screen Doors

Security screen doors often don’t provide much protection. Fortunately, we have the King Safe Ultimate, an aluminium slat gates door with a steel security mesh. These doors are exclusively made by our team here in Sydney and exceed all safety recommendations.

The aluminium frame is more resistant to erosion than steel and has a deeper receiver channel. This means if an intruder tries to kick the screen, it can’t be pushed in, leaving the intruder with a dilemma. Unlike other mesh screens, our screens are made from 316 marine grade steel. This means your view to the outdoors isn’t obstructed.

Hardware

There is no point in spending good money on a security door if the hardware isn’t up to standard. That’s why we only fit our doors with the best hardware brands. Our King Safe screen doors are fitted with welded pin hinges. These are then hung on a steel fixing frame with a 3-point mortise system.

With a 3-point mortise system, the latch can be deadlocked using a key. This is important, particularly for keeping your door locked at night and when you are not home. It cannot be stressed enough just how important quality hardware is when it comes to keeping your security door protected.

With Kings Security Doors, you can sleep well at night knowing your home is well protected. We ensure our clients are getting value for money with their investment. For a free, no-obligation consultation, get in touch with us today by calling 1300 949 399.
